This cooperation in channeling scholarship funds for the students was marked by the signing of an agreement between Octaviane Natalia Anastasia Mussu, Chairwoman of the Board of YOPB and Lin Che Wei, Chief Executive Officer Sampoerna Foundation (11/28).

The scholarships provided by YOPB will be distributed to 100 grade school children, 100 junior high school students, , 500 high school students, 25 SMK teacher training school students, and 25 SMK nursing students. These scholarships will be distributed in phases on the basis of yearly analysis of students’ performance.

Octaviane Natalia Anastasia Mussu, Chairman of the Board of YOPB said that this provision of scholarships is an expression of YOPB’s concern for the advancement of education in Indonesia. ”We believe that education is a key to developing a prosperous people that can compete with other nations. For that reason, Yayasan Oke Peduli Bangsa wants to focus its charitable activities in the field of education. We are entrusting the channeling of these scholarships to Sampoerna Foundation because of its commitment, professionalism, and extensive network and database in the field of educational scholarships,” Anastasia said.
